The standard this site aims at

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the target it is designed and checked against. It has not been independently audited or certified, so this page describes what has actually been done rather than claiming a formal rating.

What is done, specifically

Most of the following is checked automatically every time this site is built, and a failure stops the build rather than producing a warning nobody reads:

• Colour contrast is calculated, not eyeballed. Every combination of text and background used on the site is measured against the WCAG contrast formula before the page can be published.
• Real headings in a logical order. One main heading per page, with sub-headings nested properly, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
• Keyboard access. Every link and button can be reached and operated by keyboard, and the focused item is given a clearly visible outline rather than having it removed for looks.
• Motion can be switched off. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations here stop. Anything that carries an action, such as the call button, still appears; it simply appears without movement.
• Descriptive image text. Photographs carry alternative text describing what is shown. Decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
• Text that scales. Type and spacing are set in relative units, so enlarging text in your browser reflows the page instead of cutting it off.
• Checked on a phone. Layouts are measured at a 390 pixel width to confirm nothing runs off the edge of the screen.
• Tappable phone numbers. The phone number is a real link, so it can be dialled directly rather than copied out by hand.

Known limits

Automated checks catch a great deal but not everything. Judgement calls, such as whether a description is genuinely useful, cannot be fully automated. Content added later, or anything hosted by another company and embedded here, may not meet the same standard.
